you call. HE answers.

"Call to me and i will answer you and tell you great

and unsearchable things you do not know"

i know our god always keeps his promises. but, you know those times when you're like... "ummm heelloooo up there, can you hear me?"

i experience those times.  

well let me rephrase that... i AM experiencing that "season" if you will. i feel like i've been calling for a while and getting put on hold. but i know, i trust, that god's will is perfect. he is sovereign. he holds me in his hands.  he created me as his masterpiece and planned this whole crazy life out for me long before i was even a thought (see ephesians 2:10 for that sweet little fact-o-life)

but god answers. i've experienced one of those beautiful times when i not only hear god pick up, but he leaves me an important message. i've been praying for something specific in my life for a while.  then god showed me there were more important things i needed before this specific thing. then more recently, god really shoved something in my face that was such an urgent need i couldn't stop thinking about it. i was praying about it hard, i was researching books on the subject, then the exact subject was the main topic in a session of my bible study. god is speaking, so i'm going to listen! i believe what he's teaching me now is directly related to the "big" prayer i've had for a while.  i will continue to pray for my specific request because i know that anything i ask in his name, i will receive (john 14:13-14) but i will also fervently pray for what he's laid so heavenly on my heart as a more urgent need.

god knows what he's doing. he uses times like these to strengthen our faith, just like he uses times of quiet to strengthen our faith.
